Wombatgate

Justin Murphy thought he was getting a payoff when he was appointed as the new Chair of the Board of the Victorian Native Animal Protection League (VNAPL), a long-established charity looking after the welfare of wombats. It was not so simple. He was soon trying, with little success, to wrangle a confusing array of players, including the organisation's CEO, Jane Anderson and a seemingly minor bureaucrat, Evelyn St John. In the background and sometimes foreground was his old frenemy, Sonya Bird and helpful property developer Houndy.
